ok i'll admit that i haven't been around in a while but the last time I was here you used to be able to update your video's. For example if your video had subtitles you could resubmit the video without them or in a higher quality if the resolution was bad. I'm sure this got a abused a bit but why was this option taken away? I don't think I'm entitled to it , but I know that sometimes you have to use what you can find and only much ,much later does the quality source material come out. I have recently wanted to go back and clean up some of my videos, which would be taking out the subtitles and fixing up mistakes caused by the program I was using. Mistakes like clips that were supposed to be cut still popping up, as well as cleaning up some timing issues that Movie Maker caused after it was finished. I want my AMV's to reflected my idea's and thoughts like they were supposed to. Maybe I missed something on the upload side ( and yes I have read the new upload terms which state to make sure it's the final version, but in all fairness I don't remember that being there when I joined 5 years ago). I hope this is the right place to ask.
thank you Daggered-Thief

Re: Updating videos?
There's never been a one-step process or option for remasters/remakes. If you're changing clips it's a remake and you need to fill out a new entry - if not it's a remaster and you need to make a request for deletion with the correct explanation..

Re: Updating videos?
If you are only changing some tiny timing mistakes and orphan frames and you still feel that it's the same vid (this is highly subjective), then you call it a remaster - you request a deletion of the old vid and then upload the new version ;x

Re: Updating videos?
once I've done the touch ups i'll post it on youtube first and get an opinion then. That way I'll get a proper assessment and not accidentally break any rules.
Sorry for the bad grammar in my last post I typed it up before going to bed
