Tribute AMV for lost friends...Need anime source help!

Post by spk1983 » Thu Jan 21, 2010 11:12 pm

I really need some help for an idea for a video...the circumstances are tragic (and are very much real), but it's something I think I need to do as part of the healing process.

On Sunday 17th January 2010, I lost 4 of my friends in a car accident, they were travelling in a car behind me when they collided with a Hilux truck, 2 died on impact and 2 did not survive in time for paramedics to arrive...I saw my friends die in front of my eyes and was unable to do a thing to save them.

I want to do an AMV in their honour, based on the song: Alter Bridge - In Loving Memory...but I'm just looking for some ideas as to what anime series/movies and specific episodes in series would have footage based on characters feeling some comparable level of loss and despair, so it can mirror what my friends and I would have felt at being witnesses to such an event.

Any meaningful suggestions would be greatly appreciated, I'm looking for footage in the meantime myself...but it's proving to be quite difficult.

Hello, first off I'm really sorry for what happened. This really gotta be tough.
You were asking about some sad animes and when I finished reading your story imidately an Anime called "Kimi ga Nozomu Eien" popped into my head.
It's really tragic and a boy is loosing his girl during a car accident.
Furthermore I heard the Animes "Clannad" and "Kanon" are very sad. And I once watched one called "Air", tho I barely remember anything about it. Just saw it in some sad/tragic AMVs.

Hope I could help you.

Hmm...I'll take them into consideration, at least I already have Kanon in my DVD library, if anyone has any other suggestions that would be helpful...

Oh, it's so sad, believe me, I saw a lot of accidents, I'm with you man!

I advise Clannad After Story ep.18. When the guy travels by train, and he's remembering... It should be good for you.
we are awesome

The flashback at 16:20 in episode 23 of Noein may be useful to you.

Some of the snow scenes in the intro may be useful as well. If fells like it could match the mood of the song very well.

"The girl who leapt through time" may have some scenes as well. Towards the end of the movie,
Spoiler :
the main character's best friend gets hit by a speeding train.

Oh and, sorry for your loss  .

Kire, I won't be able to see the video, Veoh is blocked from viewing in my country...but I'll look it up sometime soon.

Keep the suggestions coming, thanks  :)
