What I think that might fail in this system (if it's the way I understand it) is the fact that instead of having more importance/popularity, while having >= the minimum amount of OP's and having a high score (such like 9.5) it will reach high positions. See, if it were to be 3 OP's from friends, it could be around 9-10 and reach the higher positions even if it's practically unknown. I know, it will probably get down from time if it gets more popular.

Perhaps something like Bashar said, making some kind of point system to take in mind stars scores and OP's # and scores and/or views.
IDK, something like 1view=1p;1op=1*avg. Although making an algorithm out of this is pretty hard since there will virtually always be a tweak.

If the vid is crap, it will get on 1st place (due to friendwhoring) where it will be noticed and it will get proper ratings which will drop it down, don't worry ;>

Good trade... but I think that a change in the total system would be better (I think some of mine AMVs not deserve to be in the top positions) a system that is more equitable for everyone, such as that used in AMVnews IMO!!!!

imo,the biggest fail of scores is that they don't change over time like for example there's video with x years but it got those xxx ops few years ago but now it's outdated and isn't so watchable -for example review and overall scores is rather a natural falling down thing or is it just me?

There is an option to filter out recent vids only, though :<

Review and Overall are not taken into account in the score math... and the other things have to be rated referring to the timeframe of the video's release and the sources' releases, so it makes sense anyway.
