Thanks for the link to article. a-m-v.org is doing it right by cataloguing. Has anyone actually seen a system for collecting any type of creative works of people who actually create for anime. Unique is this site for that very reason. Youtube may attempt to "overlook" videos. But I have NOT seen anyone actually attempt to preserve the "history" of those works like a-m-v.org does. That's unique. I would like to see amv for my kid's kids generation. Anyone has thought about this place becoming like a historical landmark kind of idea so maybe it might tried to be passed as the top one percent under the fair usage in copyright law. A way of preserving this site is to maybe show people the actual collection of people who make amv's to preserve what loved in this day in time. A loophole. Has it been looked into. :?: Only a thought.
In attempting to make AMV's, I learned one important lesson. When ya screw up, you can always blame sleep deprivation or laugh madly out loud. It makes you feel better. Trust me it does. :P

well there is this http://machinima.com/ wich though is not anime it's basically the org in relation to gaming videos Though it's kind of lacking I think but it's a solid start (though it's been around for many, at least 5+ years). also http://ocremix.org/ is like the closest thing to the org community that I have found. Just not related to anime and music only, but they do catalog all of the songs involved (minus a few that get tossed out from time to time...). animeondvd.com used to be awesome, but they've sold out (I hardly recognize them any more ><), animenfo.com sort of catalogs but are even more elitist than us! if it's not up to their standards they toss it out. At least they've become a lot more user friendly the last few years. They do catalog 99% of all anime out there (though I do find the few VERY niche ones that are not listed...) what I refer to are just user reviews.
If you do not think so... you will DIE
