I checked the calculations and that is 1.25MB/s. I feel stupid.

But anyways when I download AMVs I usually get 100KB/s to 600KB/s (not Kbit)

Could it have been that I am very, very far away from the server? I have never gotten anything above 100kb/s, and that rarely. 1.6MB/s? Unheard of.

When I was in Korea for a year I was getting 1.2MB/s

I have never had this, either when I was in Seoul or now that I am in Kyoto.

What the hell, man, what the hell?

Unrelated to the org? I've had 1MB/s sometimes, but 600kb/s is probably more standard.
