Which is better: French comics or anime?

I'm a real fan of Moebius' work, but outside of him, my interest in Europeon comics is fleeting at best.

When I visited Paris, I was amazed at the way comics are treated there. Much more of an art form then you get here in the States. I spent about $500 in a comic shop there with tons of books that I can hardly read but with artwork that knocks my socks off.

A terrific artist who has fused europeon and manga style is Taiyo Matsumoto. I highly recommend Black and White or Number 5.

I've never read any french comics besides Asterix which is down right retarded. One of my favorite comic books is Judge Dredd other than that I cannot really comment.

There is only one good comic series out of Europe, and that is <a href="http://www.geocities.com/haddock_751986/">Tintin</a>, god damn it.
