I enjoyed it. It through me off a bit in the 2nd act because I thought it was going to be a traditional narrative. Its not.

The movie is a beautiful meditation on anger and family. To me, the cinematography is the movie's biggest star. The shots are stunning, as is the editing. James Gandolfini was terrific, as was Max the lead. Definitely go see. They don't really make movies like this that often, and the thing cost $100 million, so let them know that people watch this stuff. Its gorgeous.

I'm going to see that movie for sure. The story is a bit messed up for a kids book now that I think about it ... but it should make a really good fantasy movie. Will say more after I see it.

I loved the cinematography and I loved the soundtrack. I can't say I -fully- enjoyed it though because it was just way too bipolar for me. I was constantly in fear for the child's life, and not in a thrilling sort of way. It definitely isn't a movie for kids, and I'm glad the studio admits that it was targeted towards adults.

Wow that was a damn good movie.

So am I right to assume what took place with the wild things was a re-enactment of sorts of what happened in his life? Like his dad was destructive and his mom tried to get away .. or something. That's how I understood it at least. Still, great overall movie. Love how they spoke like the script was written by a child, made is really interesting. 4.5/5
