I believe my only problem is I care too much about the people around me. I don't take too much time for myself. I mean, it's one thing if you the mental capacity to know in your heart that your loved one is the most important one in your life, but what's the point if you can't get your own life straight, right? Self-esteem is what I lack the most. Unfortunately, that's just me. I'll learn eventually.

I'm married to Nygmatech Enterprises on the Org (better know as part of Lawrence Studios, if you go to the Otakon AMV contests ) We dated for about 7.5 years before getting married last November, so I was already with him when he started editing, and it's his fault that I edit now

One thing that bothers me a lot lately is that not only am I not in a relationship, but there's really noone I'm even especially interested in.

Code: yeeeeah, "never" is an awfully relative term, although obviously we know pretty little about the situation. My brother was in a somewhat similar scenario with a girl he was really attracted to but who he kinda banned himself from dating for similar reasons - and as they say, time flies - he's now not only dated her but even broke up with her Life plays tricks with that, and you can only see a lot of this in hindsight.

However ".org relationships" in a broader sense is something that keeps surprising me. Seriously, for all the talking down of the "inner circle" and "clique dynamics", there is one hell of an amazing group of friends that the .org helped gather. Could be the site's greatest achievement in the big scheme of things

As for me, I've been in a relationship with a woman for about 9 months now. This relationship is actually working out so far, which is something that baffles me. I've never had a relationship go this well! ... or go well at all, actually. Those that recall my crazy "girlfriends parents are evil" rants a while back will be happy that i choose to avoid them so things are going much better. They still seem to think I'm the reincarnation of the devil, but meh. I don't have to love them to love my girlfriend, ya know? It would be nice if i could see her a little more often ... she's busy with college/work/track team so I only get to see her like once a week.

As for org relationships, I think it's a great idea. At the very least it will give you something in common to talk about/ do together. I don't think we should get all elaborate and set up a section of the site for dating specifically, but maybe a little optional "relationship status" section on profiles would be a good idea.

I hear ya. Thus my attempt to get out more. I'm my own worst enemy when it comes to that, as in "what the hell am I going to go do, where would I possibly go to meet somebody" but you have to get outta that mindset and be spontaneous. And another person actually showing genuine interest in you can change your perspective a great deal. I guess the idea is, they can't happen if you don't put yourself in a situation where they can. I found that as soon as I had gone to a few events, I had several people interested in me. Unfortunately, it wasn't mutual, but hey, I made some new friends.

That's why I like to take my laptop, waste gas, go to the coffee shop or to the park and hang around, get some fresh air. I also joined meetup.com....that's pretty cool even for just making new friends and finding stuff to do.
