US Animation:

Action: Batmon Beyond: Return of the Joker
Comedy: Lilo and Stitch was damn funny
Fantasy: Ralph Bakshi's Lord of the Rings

Canada Animation:

Action: Rock and Rule

Brittish Animation:

Fantasy: Watership Down

Japanese Animation:

Action: Cowboy Bebop
Comedy: Excel Saga
Fantasy: Spirited Away

I don't know why Drama isn't there... and there are some titles that I don't know what to put them under... because they are more than any one catagory.

Anyway... these are just my gut responses.

OMG, I completely forgot about Ducktales. I spent almost my whole childhood with those tales and comics! ^^-

Favorite anime:
Action: Hellsing (since RahXephon is really more drama than action)
Comedy: FLCL, followed in a close second by Chobits and Azumanga Daio
Fantasy: Star Ocean EX, I guess... I really don't watch much fantasy.

Favorite animation period from those genres:
Action: Same
Comedy: Same
Fantasy: Same

I like japanese animation much better than american animation. It's better drawn in my opinion, better voice acted in my opinion, and has better plotlines in my opinion.

Fantasy: TMNT (its sort of fantasy, i guess...)

Anime:

To me American animation is on a completely different level to that of the Japanese, so don't just use it to decsribe something that you prefer when they aren't comparable.
