Anime where someone looks up to or admires someone else?

Hello everyone.

I just finished my 4 month long Clannad project, so it might be a while before I start my next one. But I still want to storyboard and plan out this awesome amv idea that I have.

I'm asking if anyone knows of anime series that have a character (preferably a cute little girl, but not necessarily) that looks up to and admires another character in the series (preferably a older man, but not necessarily). I'm not talking about a Sakura x Sasuke thing where a girl dotes on a guy simply because she thinks he is hot. I'm talking a character that truly admires someone because of their personality or talents.

*If said characters injures his or herself while trying to impress the person that they admire, then this would be the perfect bonus.
*Also, if this character is treated (like getting a band aid put on their leg) by the person that they like, then this would be a bonus two.

These series fit perfectly for my amv

I My Me Strawberry Eggs (Fuko tries her best to improve her clumsy ways in order to impress her teacher, and quickly falls in love)

Gunslinger Girl (Henrietta truly admires Jose and would sacrifice everything to make him happy)

Does anyone have any suggestions about more? I'd greatly appreciate it.

in the new series Aoi Hana, yasuko a schoolgirl admires/is in love with an older male teacher.

there is a scene where he compliments her and she starts crying.

In Baccano! there is a young girl who absolutely loves her older brother, Dallas. I can't remember if there are many scenes of them together, but it's worth looking into.

Youko and Keita from Inukami! may fit it. Maybe in a twisted way at least... Youko likes Keita...

Kare Kano, Honey and Clover, and Lovely Complex may fit .
If you don't mind that the female character isn't human, then Potemayo might be a good choice. Potemayo (female creature? character) admires/looks up to Sunao Moriyama.

Potemayo would definitly fit these two lines!

Princess Tutu - Ahiru really admires Mytho for being a wonderful dancer, and hopes to dance with him, but isn't all that good. Mytho ends up hurting himself while trying to keep her from falling.

Kaori and Sakaki from Azumanga Daioh. Sakaki is not exactly a man, but Kaori is the strongest and most perceptible embodiment of blind admiration that I've ever seen in anime.

Besides, every multi-anime AMV has Azumanga Daioh in it. It's a rule.

Well in .hack//G.U., there's Atoli and Sakaki. Atoli admires Sakaki alot because he helped her and uhh gave her hope basically.

It's not really shown in TRILOGY (the movie) though.. maybe you can get the fmvs from the game ? (mostly shown in vol 2) :]
