Whichever you are used to is the "better" one. Vegas does have more capabilities, but you can do just as well with WMM.

That's a lie. you can't do just as well with WMM, unless the person using vegas sucks. Vegas is a lot more user friendly and like was said has a lot more capabilities, whereas WMM is kinda klunky and laborious.

x2 with Strudel.

Vegas is much better than WMM.
Vegas is great for editing in general not just AMVs.
Its very simple to get used to, plus the timeline of your source is VERY helpful in editing.
Also in Vegas you can change the Aspect Ratio and save higher quality videos.

Unlike WMM you can have multiple tracks of video and audio at the same time for a very vast amount of capability, if you can pull it off. Unlike WMM were you have to mess around with just one timeline and you can't cut your clips were you want them that easily.

I see, I think WMM is easier to use... so I will stick with the easier one first then go for a more complicated one =o

nonono, you don't understand. I used WMM for close to like 2 or 3 years because I thought it was easier. Then I switched to vegas and I realized how dumb I had been. Vegas is easier in the long run, because you don't have to deal with all of WMM's bullshit. Just read some of the Idiot's guide to vegas guides and whatnot and you'll be good to start experimenting.

Personally I think Vegas is better. It's more expensive, but has way more capabilities (effects, supported file types etc.) Trust me. I used Windows Movie Maker until it crashed beyond repair, so I switched to Vegas. It looks complicated when you read guides on it and stuff, but it's really easy to use once you get the hang of it. :D
