I recently reinstalled it cause I was talking to some game buddies while playing over it. I clicked not to install the skype toolbar etc POS stuff for IE etc.
However on my process list I've noticed something called Skypenames.exe popping on and off by itself. Like its sending data then ending its process or something. I know for a fact that I didn't have that shit before installing the latest version of skype. And after installing skype my Internet explorer started going slow as hell.
Any one know about this crap? I searched for the actual file and deleted it after moving it out of the folder it was in and making sure the process wasn't running. If the process isn't running and its in the folder it won't delete.
I'm curious cause now IE work fine again.

Quick question about skype.
"The people cannot be [...] always, well informed. The part which is wrong will be discontented, in proportion to [...] the facts they misconceive. If they remain quiet under such misconceptions, it is lethargy, the forerunner of death to public liberty. What country can preserve its liberties, if it's rulers are not warned [...] that this people preserve the spirit of resistance? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time, with the blood of patriots and tyrants."-Thomas Jefferson

I read through a bunch of this and it appears there are just some bugs with this stupid toolbar. I'm like 99% sure I clicked not to isntall that though. I'd advise anyone who got the latest version to check and see that it didn't install it anyway or just stuff related to this skypenames.exe garbage.
