Some song assistance?

I know, I know that this is backwards, but i need a bit of help. I've been wanting to make a particular AMV for some time now, and i have just FINALLY gotten hold of the footage i need, and some time to work on it, (and I have a deadline, i wanted to see if i could get something submission worthy and the only other con i'm going to is connecticon so i'm really short on time) I know i can dedicate all day, everyday for the next 2 weeks to this, but i'm having trouble with my song.

I know how i want it to feel, what i want it to end up meaning. And i know a ton of Japanese songs that would probably be amazing. But i want something in english -_-

I'm sorely lacking in knowing any english songs. Swedish, Japanese, German... i'm good. I just am not familiar enough with English songs to even think of a song i know off the top of my head so i'm hoping a fresh perspective will help.

What i'm looking for is a song that is remeniscent of cherry blossoms, the quickness of life, bittersweet even. I'm trying to find something that evokes living one's life to the fullest even if you may not have time, or life that's taken away too quickly (again, something that maybe evokes the feel behind cherry blossoms)

If anyone can think of any songs that might fit with that i'd love to check them out. I have a few backup suggestions in case i can't find anything perfect, but i'm hoping i can find something. I could have sworn i had a song in my mind a few years back, but it's been so long i just can't remember it now.

I think To Live is to Die by Metallica fits perfectly. It is an ode to one of their beloved band members that died in a tragic accident, a man who left this world far too soon. It was their former bassist, Cliff Burton, and it was written in 1989 when the album "...And Justice For All" came out. His death is an example of the "quickness of life" so to speak, as he unfortunately left this world while on the top of his and the band's career (the release of 1986's "Master of Puppets," their greatest work) and was having the time of his life before it left him so suddenly.

Yeah, you can consider this. It's an instrumental, but a very moving and emotional one.

Your description totally makes me think about Parabola by Tool about being alive and all. It doesn't make me think of cherry blossoms though. Some of the lyrics are

Motorcycle Driveby by Third Eye Blind is a really different sound that I could actually see cherry blossoms to. I think it would fit the concept pretty well. Its lighter.

Thank you all so much ^.^ For this particular project i've found my song, but i definitely want to work with some of your other suggestions, since they are quite fitting. I'll let you know how it goes! It feels like years since i've edited anything, so this will be interesting.
