For AVI and MP4, what video and audio codecs can we use?jrm1561 wrote:8. I will accepted MPEG's, AVI, MP4 formats.
Is joint stereo audio acceptable?
Maximum video/audio bitrates?
Minimum/maximum frame rates?
Minimum/maximum samplerates?
Can we encode MPEGs as anamorphic widescreen?
Can we encode MPEGs as 23.976fps progressive with the 3:2 pulldown upon playback flag?
Can we encode MP4s as anamorphic widescreen?

I'm being very open on this part, as long as your video is in good viewing quality in any of the format its editor choice.Scintilla wrote: For AVI and MP4, what video and audio codecs can we use?

Re: Saboten-Con 09' AMV Contest
This may be a dumb question: Do you have to attend the con in order to participate in an AMV contest? I've never done it before so I figured it doesn't hurt to ask.

Not usually, but it depends on the specific contest. This one doesn't seem to say anything about it in the rules.
