Recommend me some bands? Euro-pop dance...
I've developed a taste for fast-paced Euro-pop dance tunes. Zippy stuff with a steady beat and fun, lightweight lyrics.
Songs like Calling Dr. Jones/Roses are Red/Candyman from Aqua, Butterfly from Smile.dk. U Gonna Get It from Ashana, and Every Time We Touch by Cascada.
Can anyone recommend some more bands in this general style? Thanks!

Lacara's and Tixiana's versions are both way better (and feature the ORIGINAL lyrics for the verses).Inkwolf wrote:...and Every Time We Touch by Cascada.
Anyway, I'm quite fond of the Norwegian group Reset for this style. Try "Calling You 2000", "Wings of Love", "Svalbard Theme" (remake after Sigmund Groven's original from the Orions belte soundtrack), "All About Love", "Blue", and/or "Get Me".

E-Type is the only artist that immediately comes to mind that I can even stand.
"Life" and "Angels Crying" aren't bad.

Freezepop is another recommendation I'd give, even though they aren't Europop, most people can't tell.
Check out "Super Sprode" and "Shark Attack."

Echo Image and Ashbury Heights come to my mind right now.

While Echo Image is an awesome group (thanks to MeriC and VegettoEX for alerting me to that fact; in fact, I used their music for my last AMV) and I totally recommend them, I'd hardly call them "Euro", especially after the examples Inkwolf gave. More like synthpop.

Hey, if the music is good, where the band comes from isn't a big issue.

... I thought you were using "Euro" to describe the sound, not the continent of origin? (Echo Image IS from Norway, as a matter of fact.) That's how I meant it.

Yeah, pretty much....not being cool enough to totally differentiate between musical styles. I haven't listened to any of the suggestions yet. I'm waiting for after work tomorrow when I have access to a fast connection. None of these bands are avilable from my library system, that I've found out anyway. Must search online and Ebay.
Not sure what 'synth pop' is. Guess I'll find out.
