I was actually listening to this track just last night. I could sort of see it in an AMV, with its guitar solos, slow rock beat and its sort of sad sound which, in my opinion could be used in an AMV to tell a sad but, action story of any anime or various animes.
However the chossen anime has to stand along with the track, itself in telling the story.
For some reason I thought Cowboy Bebop might go well with it but, Cowboy Bebop is overused, not to say it might not be done to Cowboy Bebop. The way I see it is, that this could be any epic AMV in a way if you do the song, justice.
Does anyone know of this track and can they pitch an anime or animes to go with it ? Maybe even a line the AMV could follow ?
I'm thinking over it myself as well.

the title suggests the "Sympathy for the Devil" episode of Cowboy Bebop if that is what you're going to use, however i could also see it working well with Escflowne making Hitomi the focus of the video, blind man = Dorkirk, flying lad = Van. But if you specifically want to use an anime that isn't quite so "overused", then perhaps you could consider something like Yami No Matsui, slightly harder to draw parallels here but still applicable, or Gasaraki might also be a good one. Unfortunately I can't remember many of the names from Gasaraki, but child in time definitely works since the kai's keep appearing throughout generations and the blind man shooting the world is that one dude who cut his eyes out.

"Sympathy for the Devil" episode of Cowboy Bebop, I didn't actually see it that way but, you make a good pitch for the episode now, I think about it. The only reason why I would want to do this to another anime is because of the vast number of Cowboy Bebop AMVs out there already.
However I also like the idea of using Escflowne for it. The spine of the vid you put across:
Main Focus- Hitomi
Blind man- Dorkirk
Flying Lad- Van
I quite like this, it sound like it would go really well and Escflowne is an anime that I think could stand along with the song.
You suggested Yami No Matsui, which you say is "slightly harder to draw parallels here but still applicable". I haven't seen it or heard of it before but, just looked at a fansite for it and I think I'll try find some episodes of it because it sound good.
Gasaraki, on the other hand, might also be a good one. The link between "child in time" and the "kai's" is a nice connection as time has no border on them, in a way, as they show up in generations after generations; "the blind man shooting the world" sound good.
