So no big deal, I decided to try to to avisynth the .d2vs into VDubMod on mah PC. Apparently, I didn't have the DGDecode.dll plugin, so i downloaded it. Little did I know that it needs to match the version of DGIndex used. So I finally get the right version. BUT WAIT, THERE'S MORE!!! After I get the right version VDubMod says it's obsolete!!?
So then I'm all "Screw dat" so I try just transferring the vobs to DV with mpeg streamclip overnight. I wake up this morning only to find that that failed epically, too. It had an error for all of the episodes but it successfully encoded all of the little things (like credits) between the episodes.
Basically now I am trying them in streamclip again. If that doesn't work I'll have to try any other program I have that'll transfer them to DV. If that doesn't work.... I may have to start over...which may lead to me dropping. Which stinks cuz my concept was epic.

EDIT: Oto, epic banner is epic.
i dunno macs, can't you avisynth your d2v with mpeg2source?
ps you can make dv with vdubmod, panasonic do a free dv codec that works in an avi container... for pc anyway :/
but wai u want to edit dv
anyway, always do a lickle test to make sure it works before you do an overnight rip D:

You need dv for final cut express. I wish you didn't, but thats how it is.
I think the problem was with my rips in the first place, actually. I re-ripped and I think its working now....

MAC is a cosmetics brand. Mac is the superior computing platform. It's not an acronym.

yay
btw i seriously doubt fc can't cope with your standard delivery formats. try anything in a qt container... lossless mjpeg, animation, meridien 3:1... unless you're using some newer hd dv codec, it's not even going to support progressive

i don't think i have time to do everybody, so the next 10 to post get the dubious honour of a starring role in my vid.
