Yep! That's what I'm working on right now. Hopefully, I should have it completed within the next few days. Just a minute left, but that's awfully long in AMV time =P. Couple that with my legendary app that comes with it's very own delicate blend of bugs with a touch of crashes!

Also know that professionally deadlines vary greatly.

My first job was on a comission by comission basis and for a 30 second comercial you'd have anywhere from a week to a month to edit it and get all the graphics right.
One of the last things I did for the company was a 30 minute long video highlight reel of a 4 hour meeting. I had about a month and a half to work on that.

But for my job in the news I had about 2 hours every day to edit all the video you need for quality, content and time for a 30 minute show.

I got very good at speed editing doing that. One of the first things they told me was "Make Air(time); not art".

That's actually the first thing that crossed my mind when you told me you got a job as a news editor haha. Lucky you, there's usually only practice to help you with speed and you got paid for it . ^_^
