DRM for spore. After reading about this, any consideration to buy/try it is gone.

I'd rather play Sid Meyer's Civilization. :O

Or a nice fantasy RPG.

Not spore though. :O

Played it on a buddy's computer, and I wasn't too too thrilled, and I definitly won't buy it.

played it, enjoyed it all the way up till the space stage, but that was as far as i could get before i started to get really bored.

some more variety in terms of the random disasters/events would have kept my interest longer(or maybe i just didn't play it long enough? i don't care, whatever variety there might be just didn't show up fast enough to keep my interest), but after the umpteenth time i had to stop what i was doing to go save my homeworld/colony from the invaders/horrible disease, it all started to wear on me.

uninstalled it, and sold it to a friend who likes that kind of repetitive crap.

Haven't played it and never plan to. If EA's idea of copy protection is assuming everyone is a pirate, then they don't need my business (and no, I'm not going to pirate it.) These stupid companies never get the message. Copy protection never stops the actual pirating of software, it only hurts the normal customer. This has been said a million times, yet they keep screwing the average person. I'm not against copy protection, I just can't stand the new super restrictive kinds.

After starting the space age again and changed the difficulty to easy it's now closer to how I like it. Instead of them just coming and killing me, they ask for money, lol... Isn't too much of a problem as I'm starting to figure out how to make money faster.

I think I'll have to start taking notes and shit cause I'm forgetting which colonies are producing and which still need their planets terraformed. Starting to get more and more difficult to manage as my empire becomes larger.

I blazed through my first play through, really just to get a feel for the game as a whole, and I kind of regret doing it so quickly now. I'm going to start over and really take the time to design things that work for my creatures. Particularly regarding their evolution. Also, Herbivore this time. :3
