It's not so much that the songs are weird, but I do NOT speak Japanese, so after having listened to a Japanese tune from an anime too many times, I find it weird that I can hear the song in my head, and the words are all coming out proper, yet I haven't a clue what they are saying all the same

I have this happen a lot with some tunes.

Oh well at least I like the songs.

especially since 2 of my friends sing that shit on a regular basis.

I just listened to this for the first time. Thanks. Now at least I don't have this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HNTxr2NJHa0 stuck in my head anymore. (I used to watch the show)

Used to get those freecreditreport.com jingles stuck in my head. Also, I was able to listen to leekspin for hours at a time. In fact, I edited the song so if it was on repeat once, it would imitate leekspin. At work (where I have no internets) I listened to it all day once, though I don't listen to it anymore. I usually remedy a song stuck in my head by listening/thinking about another song that could get stuck in my head just as easily. Either that or try to remember why I got it stuck in my head, which would get me thinking about something else, and so on.

I haven't had anything stuck lately, but I do have a cure.

Whenever I have a song stuck in my head, I hum the Shinra march from Junon Harbour in FF7. After a few repetitions, it clears the old song out of my head, AND doesn't get stuck itself.

It's almost scary how well this works.
