Why not export to Lagarith?
I plan to be making an AMV in Premiere Elements 4. When I get ready to export my video (as shown at http://www.animemusicvideos.org/guides/ ... xport.html), why should I only export in uncompressed or HuffYUV? Is there a particular reason not to use Lagarith?

I answered a similar question about exports using Premiere Elements in this thread. Check that one out for a handy solution.

i believe that premiere (in general) doesn't handle lagarith well, what they are trying to tell you is to use huffy or uncompressed if huffy doesn't work.
Most editing software doesn't handle compression well, thats why you use an external program to compress the files with.

I've always heard people recommend uncompressed either way O: and I'm just going off of what people have told me O.o
but what do I know, Premiere is a backwards program that hides all its features (I love my Vegas)

I've rarely ever used actual uncompressed... I've always used either HuffYUV (initially, and when I need alpha channel I still use it) or Lagarith. Uncompressed takes up stupid amounts of space that makes it impractical a lot of the time.JaddziaDax wrote:I've always heard people recommend uncompressed either way O: and I'm just going off of what people have told me O.o
