phpbb2 is being retired

this is from 2 months ago, so whoever signed up for phpbb's updates should already know, but if you haven't seen it, you guys might want to look at updating the forums to phpbb3

the main reason being:

Security patches, if required, will be provided until Sunday 1st February 2009.

also, for those people concerned with the sites layout, start looking about phpbb3's skins, because if you liked phpbb2, phpbb3's skin might look a tad weird
