Post by x_rex30 » Wed Jul 16, 2008 12:28 am

When I try to use Crop editor in AVSEdit, I get this message

Here are the details:
See the end of this message for details on invoking
just-in-time (JIT) debugging instead of this dialog box.

************** JIT Debugging **************
To enable just in time (JIT) debugging, the config file for this
application or machine (machine.config) must have the
jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.
The application must also be compiled with debugging
enabled.

For example:

<configuration>
<system>
</configuration>

When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception
will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the machine
rather than being handled by this dialog.

Not sure what is up, never had this before.

I'm pretty sure I'm up to date on important software.

I'm for the fist time using Vista Home Premium

These are the only codecs I've installed:

the new version of WMP
Quicktime and Combined Community Codec Pack with default settings.

Also using Avisynth 2.5

Maybe since I installed Vegas Pro 8 it may have done something about it. I remember it installing Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 redistributable.. maybe that has something to do with it?

Help is appreciated.

hmmm..

maybe I don't know what that is.. I'm use to highlighting "crop()" and then being able to edit it.

Even if I put there.. Crop(8,0,-8,0), it still comes up with the same message, though I can preview the video. If I try crop editor at all I get that message. :cry:

I really don't like cropping that way, I like to do it with avisynth.. anyway.. I guess I could try reinstalling the program or something. Anymore help is appreciated.

so, if you open the script in vdub, it errors out also? don't use avsedit, use notepad.

I hear you. I've never had problems in avsedit I couldn't fix and I like to use the crop editor in avsedit.

The script works perfectly fine, I just can't open the crop editor

I tried reinstalling the program, that didn't work..

So I don't mind the idea of using notepad but I love the idea to be able to continue to use avs edit.

Maybe AvsP has a crop editor in it I can use.. hmmm..

Anyways thanks for the suggestion.
