Yep. The Karma System would be cool. Also I think there is already a plugin/hack for phpBB that enables such a Karma system. And for the ranks, maybe we could have the option to choose your own rank, just as some other forums do. Then you couldn't judge people by there ranks, but we would have more place to put information about us, or just for another short wise line'o'text 8)

On the other board I am on all the ranks are based on anime titles. Dark Warlord comes from Samurai Troopers (aka Ronin Warriors). The avatar I am using is Naaza: Warlord of Venom from that same show.

I know this Thread is kind of outdated, but I think the idea of titles is cool. You can say something extra about yourself in them. They really shouldn't be any kind of rank at all....

For example, on both T.A.N.C. and The Bebop, my title is "Shoujo-Ai Goddess". It's not a rank, it just says something about me. I'd like to have this title here as well.

Wow, I think I had a dream about the topic in the thread...Or maybe I was sleep surfing. Well, I recently found on another site...A very good way of doing things. They had these three titles, based on how long a member has been here:

Member In Training
Member
Senior Member

But they also had a "Forum Addict Member" Maybe for people who have more than one post a day or something...But that's just them.

No, they shouldn't be rankings or anything like that. They should be your own personal-custom-descriptive title.

Memebers on the Bebop and T.A.N.C. have very cool and creative ones!

Hey, that would be a good idea, just maybe put some kind of limit to profanic remarks..I've found some thing in peoples signatures that are kind of...distrubing.
