I hate ArcSoft PhotoImpression. :? I've done some decent stuff with it (never got a worthy banner with it, but I've done ok avatars and wallpapers with it.) But now that I have photoshop, I'll never go back. (And once I switched to photoshop, I started getting worthy banners. Go figure.) Corel, which came with my comp, is ok too, though I've never made a banner with it. But it's still decent. Never noticed a problem with the borders. I just figured, as was already said, it was just to go with the site layout. *shrugs* Meh.

yea I got photoshop now too, I don't think I'll go to any other program O.o

Some of the things I did with ArcSoft though are way easier to do in photoshop than how I did them in Arcsoft :3 also only 1/2 of my banners were worthy then, once I switched to Photoshop and got used to using it though, I went up to about one out of every three banners I made with it were worthy.
