"You call him Dr. Jones, doll"
So yeah... caught the midnight show for Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. Over all I liked it. Still not as strong as Raiders... but then again none of the others were either. It's still got the formulas that made the other ones great (a killer chase scene or two, travel maps with route trace lines, and Harrison Ford)
Spoiler :
I'm not rich... I just plan on dying before I retire.

I quite enjoyed it.
However at a few places, particularly the start, I felt they were trying to go all out as though they had something to prove because of the 3 earlier movies. I think this actually detracted from it a little. Another downside was that a lot of it seemed too finely polished for my taste, and didn't have that gritty 80s cinema look I associated with the originals. I had hoped they would try and maintain this same cinematic feeling, but it looks as though they took the leap forward into the 21st century.
I've always had a very strong connection with the Indiana Jones movies, as I used to watch them with my dad all the time when I was a kid, and I always get a strong feeling of nostalgia whenever I rewatch any of the movies.
The Last Crusade will always remain my favourite.
On the scale I'd rate it:
1. Last Crusade.
2. Raiders Of The Lost Ark.
3. Kingdom Of The Crystal Skull.
4. Temple Of Doom.
As far as sequels go (particularly those quite after the last) it was quite enjoyable and seemed to fit in fairly well with the previous films.
