I, for one, would like to read the report on this study to see how it was conducted, because it seems like people living in older, low income parts of the city where they would get exposed to lead paint are also people who would have crappier schools and less opportunities, and therefore be more likely to turn to crime.

That must have been a nice conversation.At four prenatal clinics between 1979 and 1984, the researchers recruited pregnant women living in Cincinnati neighborhoods with a higher concentration of older, lead-contaminated housing.
"Look, we know lead is really bad for you and your child. So bad that any reasonable person would move the fuck out of a lead contaminated place. But we don't want you to do that, we'd rather you keep living in these places so we can study you. Those guys in Tuskegee AL gave their all for science why can't you?"
