Where?

Post by jesshikachan » Sun Apr 06, 2008 5:26 pm

Where do people find the videos to download onto their computer to use for AMV's? I want to make a Mulan video, I have the DVD, is there any way I can get it on my computer to use with Windows Movie Maker? If so, please explain in steps, I'm new to this! :)

Or...does anyone know where I can download some Mulan clips to use?

Well no, we cannot tell you where to download clips,

but..

YOU have the DVD! So Good news!

You can find everything you need to know on getting that footage off of the DVD right here.

It's a bit of a read, but necessary.

Good Luck!

(P.S. we don't allow Disney Music videos to be uploaded around here ... Anime only)

There are places out there that welcome Disney videos, I'm pretty sure that Vidding on livejournal is cool with it.

Ok, I've got the DVD's ripped. I can watch them on VLC Media Player but I'm trying to figure out how to get them into Windows Media Player to edit them and make my own video. Can someone help me? I looked through the link you gave me but half of it I didn't understand.

Thanks!

This is the specific section you need.

You'll be doing 4) Avisynth with DGMpegDec - This is the daddy. It is frame accurate, quicker than anything else, works well, allows access to numerous other excellent features in AVIsynth and is what we will use in this guide. No other method is currently better. Whether you are making clips first or editing directly this is the 100% best, most reliable and highest quality method around.

You can follow it step by step, it even has pictures, it shouldn't be too hard to go through ... a bit time consuming for your first try but you get used to it.

it lays out everything better than any of us possibly could without doing it pretty much the same way they did it, but if you have a very specific question feel free to ask it.
