Tora-Con 2008 AMV contest - Help, please! Deadline April 10

Post by Kokoro no Hikari » Fri Mar 14, 2008 5:30 pm

Hello everyone, I just wanted to remind you all that this year's Tora-con 2008 AMV contest's submission deadline is April 10. Thanks to everyone who has submitted so far but we are still looking for a lot more submissions (at least 20 or so). They do not have to be brand-spanking new vids, anything you made in within the past two years that has not yet won any awards can be submitted. Also, you can submit up to two AMVs as long as they are for different categories. Please help us keep the AMV contest part of this year's con!

Some basic rules:

-mpeg/mpeg2 or xvid preferred, but we will take anything but .wmv
-2 videos can be submitted per person, but should be for different categories (ex: a comedy and an action AMV)
-1 submission form per video
-2 seconds of black space before and after the AMV
-no credits/titles
-no subtitles or logos (Cartoon Network, Divx etc.)
-AMVs cannot have won any major awards yet
-please keep it PG-13

Contest info can be found at:

And general con info is located at:

Contact info:

Maggie O'Connor: gurugurumawaru4@gmail.com
AIM: guruguru4

If you would like to submit using our server, please email me and I'll give you our server info. Otherwise, you can submit by mail (the address is in the contest info) or try sending it to my gmail account, which is listed above. Sending me rapidshare, sendit, etc. links is fine as well. I have created an AIM screenname specifically for sending me AMVs now too: guruguru4 I'll try to be signed on all day so that if you send me something, I can accept it as soon as I'm back at my computer. I will also need a filled out entry form for each AMV submission, but if you just print it out, fill it out, scan it in and email it to me, that would be fine. Thanks!

Thanks to everyone who has submitted AMVs so far. We still need at least 10 more entries to keep this contest going, so if you have some new vids (2 years old or newer) that have not won any major awards yet, please consider entering them in our contest. Thanks again for everyone's support :)
