TTGL stills vid need suggestions

Post by ssgwnbtd » Mon Mar 10, 2008 4:51 pm

I'm making a vid for Anime North using a lot of stills from Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann. Here's a beta of what I have so far:

Any suggestions on timing changes would be helpful. I'm also looking for suggestions on what kind of other effects to use in the video. Any effect that uses spirals would be good I think. I was also thinking about adding literal piano keys to the top and bottom of the video to cover up the borders. Would piano keys be too distracting?

I want to do some effects that still leave the pictures mostly visible and don't subtract from the story parts of the video.

How about making parts of it spin:

It seems ok to me, although the song seems kinda slow to be paired with TTGL. Also, some more left to right/right to left pans might be nice, as well as some zoom ins and outs on specific parts of the still, not just the whole still. Some more fades/dissolves would be good as well, but it might interfere with your 'sync' to the beats' motif you have.

In regard to the piano keys idea, I think it will cover up your edges at the bottom and top of the stills, but I don't know if they might be too distracting
