Granted she was cute when she was young.

But it's a given that Japanese girls have different skin tone, and well we all know the eyes are wrong, and the hair, well even when they colour it, you know it was originally black.

It takes more than a fuku or kimono to make a girl look Japanese.

Actually it's hard to sell ANYthing non American to an American audience apparently. Which explains how so many films set in moments of history always seem to get invaded by Americans that were never really there.

No shortage of Japanese in Canada. Actually, no shortage of Japanese in the US, but you need to look on the correct coast.

Because then it wouldn't be an adaptation to begin with, it would just be the same shit we've already seen. Making an adaptation identical to the original is completely pointless; it's alreadly there, why make a mirror image? That's why I couldn't watch the Psycho remake, it was the exact same movie line for line, shot for shot.

@DTJB - Didn't mean to cause severe emotional distress there. I wasn't serious in the slightest. Just displaying one of the "Worst Case Scenario"s I had laying around to illustrate my opinion on the whole adaptation thing.
