I saw this list somewhere else recently, and I made the comment that it would be more accurate if you replaced "white people" with "upper-middle class people".

But I guess that doesn't have quite the same ring to it.

Ok, I'll admit it, they are rampant and tackily overdone here. I mean, I can't go ten feet in school and not see a confederate flag. For God's sake, we have pictures of dead deer (from hunting) in the sports section of the newspaper I work for. I can't wait to move. :_(

But just know that not all people from the south are hicks. It's just a blatant sterotype. It's kind of like how not all Pretty Rich Kids are spoiled little brats. Or how not all Mexicans living here are illegal immigrants wanting only to take jobs from lazy Americans.

And the list is pretty good too. Favorite is: "Prior to engaging in divorce, most white people train for it by engaging in a series of long term relationships that end very poorly."

The first thing that came to my mind was "yuppies." That sorta has a ring, doesn't it?
