I don't like to pretend is all... no, acturally I hope this isn't refering to me (though I'm pretty sure it is...), you know I have 3 profiles and this was supposed to be my most depressing one (noted by the glare in the avatar). But anyway looking at my t10 FLCAL, Emily, Sheep go to Heaven are all very much NOT depressing :) uhh.... lol
nonono, lol, i was referring to myself.
your referring to yourself, in THIRD PERSON?? lol what do they teach in those canadian schools lol.

(also your t10 only consist of, at most- cuz I hadn't seen them all- 50% depression)... or did you mean just the two faves you pointed out lol.

OK now I get your post, you were contrasting how depressing videos and happy happy fun videos can both attain the same outcome!! Makes sence, but still ya gotta wonder about those Canadian schools.

Breath of Evangelion maybe.. thats why I remade it

Visionary because I find it angelic. For same reasons also Sun Comes Out, Sunlight and Shamanic Symphony Remastered

Da Shit is just over the top fun

There's other particular ones but I don't care to list.

If you want to see what ones these are just look at my top 100 list. I'm too lazy to copy the vidid

Here's one that I've grown personally attached to:

It's a very nice feel-good video. Always finding new things and new ways to interpret this thing. Sometimes it feels like I'm personally going through something on this video and sometimes it feels distant. Sometimes it even makes me sad  In a good way though.. Generally, I think this video is propably conceptually the most complete thing on the org ;)

This sounds like a fun idea! I'll put together a small list. :D My all-time favorite is:

This video... leaves me speechless every time I watch it. It is put together in such a way that is just too remarkable for words. It's inspiring and uplifting. Every time I see this, I get a feeling that I can do anything that I put my mind to, no matter how hard. Believe it or not, it helped me get through some very hard times in my life and will continue to do so for as long as I watch it. Thanks a lot, Istiv! :D

Next is one that has been listed a couple of times already and for many good reasons:

It's fun, colorful, well put together and everything you could ever want to see in an AMV! Again, it shows people that you can do anything you want if you put your mind to it (it was made with Sony Vegas 6.0! I use that program, and believe me, I never thought all this was possible with it!). I think I remember reading that she spent eight whole months on this video. It inspired me to to try harder. Thanks so much Chiikaboom! You are a true genius. :)

Here's a beautiful one:

Radical_Yue, this video really hit me hard! T_T I love the way you compiled everything together. This is a true example of how great a drama/romance video can be with subtle effects and sparingly used beat syncs. The video just flows with the song, like it's supposed to be there. It's a masterpiece. Thank you!

There is no possible way that this video couldn't be on my list! This video is pretty much the reason why I started editing AMVs. ^^ It is one of the first AMVs I ever saw and to this day, in my opinion, one of the best AMVs ever set to this song (and there are a lot!) and one of the best in general! The feeling of the video goes right with the song and it's really edited flawlessly. She recently remastered this AMV with cleaner footage and a few changed scenes and uploaded to the site which made me very happy! You should go check out her videos, especially this one if you haven't because she is very talented. Thanks, Kiarrens for inspiring me to start editing! :D

There are so many more videos and AMV editors I'd like to post about, but I will stop for now, since I realized my "small" list won't be so "small." :P

Let's try something a little different:

This video, to my mind, has something almost magical about it. It's got action, it's got synch, and it's got that little something extra. There's something there, something I've never been able to identify, that makes me watch it repeatedly. Technically, it's a model of elegant and beautiful simplicity.

And then several of my earliest and strongest influences:

I wanted to edit my previous post but it wouldn't let me =/ if this is considered spamming remove if need be I just thought alot about the vids that really mean the most too me instead of just listing some of my random favorite amvs

really love the editing in this and I've watched it about everyday for the past month and its just really good

usually I watch this when I get home from work because after I get home from work Im usually in a bad mood cause I hate my job , but this amv always seems to put a smile on my face and its rly cool

basically this amv was the reason I got into editing. Fullmetal Alchemist was/is my alltime favorite anime and I immediately loved this. I really liked the editing and the alternate story line. definitely my all time favorite amv
