A while ago I created a video called anime Randomness the movie. Well I went to upload it a few months ago, but I made a mistake. I tried uploading it in the wrong format. Now The only message I get is confirm video instead of upload, and when I click it, it says Congratulations you are now a owner of a weird error message. Thats all it says. I sent two bug reports but I have not got any help so far. So I was wondering if I should Request for deletion for the pre amv thing? If not what the heck do I do???
Also a few days ago I posted a topic that had a link to my one of my amv's in general amv's. I stated that I had problems with uploading videos and that I felt like sharing this certain one because of it. Well when I cam back and checked it, it says its been moved and when I clicked it, it is locked from replys. Well anyways it just annoyed me how they said you cant upload flv, and how they said that I probably found it and I am trying to claim it as my own.
I dont mean to be rude, and I apologize ahead of time if I am, but they where implying, or at least I felt it was implied. That I was an idiot because I was trying to upload the video in flv format, which I was not, and I take offense to that. That site photobucket that I uploaded it to turns it into a flv format. and the title of the amv was a bunch of numbers that I put. You can not find this amv in the search unless you put those exact numbers. I put that to show that I did create this. The people who posted those comments where not thinking and acting brainless, which I am Deprecated to because they don't take the time to read the full thing of what I posted. I wanted to know if anyone there thought my video was any good, but instead of reading and going with common sense. They bring up something completely different which I find uncouth.

It's usually like this O:
Yeah i think your error message is a case for the mod drop box...
The best would be make a screenshot of your error message and post it into the mod drop box or type the exact string of your error message there.
They can't ignore it there...
They might delete your uploaded file then so that you can upload the Video again...
And flv was really your mistake you know..... people here will mostly think it comes from yootube then, and that turns them off (I'm not an exeption to this)
The best would be if you still have your project file re-export it and convert it into a proper format everyone likes here
Like xvid in avi or h264 in mp4 O:
If you wanna know how that works you simply have to lurk a bit here, well in the help section mostly your questions are already solved before you ask them in another thread Oo

I already converted it to avi but I can not upload it, which is what I have been trying to say. I may have left out the avi part and I apologize for that. Luckily this time when I came on it said upload instead of confirm but here is the message that I got.
One of the things it says that the file may have been over a 100 megabytes. Well actually it is but I requested the thing to upload a file larger than a 100 megabytes. I remember waiting a few days for something before I went to upload it. So I am uncertain if that is the problem or not.If none of the above apply, please report the following error code in the forums: opendir: No such file or directory at /usr/local/sbin/Pancake line 143, <FH> line 17.

Re: reply
that would probably be the problem. I have had no experience with it myself, but I believe you must wait for an acceptance letter or something of the like before trying to upload an oversized file.Spike3 wrote:I requested the thing to upload a file larger than a 100 megabytes. Unless the video is extraordinarily long (like a MEP) or super high resolution (let's forget about these faux-HD videos), there's no reason a typical AMV should be over 100 MB in size.
Did you compress the video properly?
Did you remember to compress the audio?
If you've done those properly and your video is still over 100 MB, you may wish to try some post-processing to clean the video and make it easier to compress. At the worst case, you'll have to encode the video at a lower resolution (i.e. instead of 640 x 480, use 512 x 384).

Its not that. My video is several amvs in one. They range from 40 seconds up to 5 minutes. I sort of compare it to amv hell with a bunch of different clips. Other than that its not like amv hell. Amv hell has only funny clips. Mine has funny, sad, interesting, serious, parody etc...
An example for one of them is Samurai Champloo to: Get this party started by korn. The music in the video syncs up with the clips, with what there saying and whats happening. It is 42 minutes long. Another example is Trigun with western music that goes along with the scene. I did have this on veoh before and I got really good ratings and comments. The only reason I removed it is because they changed things and it became a 5 minute preview >_<.

to clarify a few things - when a video is over 100mb you have to request a special dispensation for the dl, an explanation of why its so big is req (saying its 42minutes is a fairly good reason) tho to be fair not a lot of people will want to watch 42 minute video but its however u prefer it im not criticising.
and veoh would still have ur video there you didnt need to remove, the way veoh works is for the longer files it req's them to be dl'd properly instead of streamed like short clips (no idea why they did this, but thats how it works). either way, streaming sites like veoh and noobtube are not ideal places to upload amv's
