Yeah, I probably would have done the same thing, Kamoc. Just next time know who you're yelling at.
I went to go see Episode 2 with some of my friends, and there were these kids, about 11 years old or so, that were talking about the movie the whole time. They were also talking about my shirt, because I had on my Cowboy Bebop - Spike shirt. "Yeah, that show's so cool, that's on Cartoon Network! Also, they have Dragonball Z." Now, I had already seen the movie, and the kids had seen the movie, but my friends hadn't. I just turned around was said, "Guys, please don't talk about the movie. My friends haven't seen it yet, OK? Cool it, please."
Yeah, that shut them up. For about 15 minutes ¬¬

Well for one thing, at a horror movie, people are gonna scream and shout. No matter where you go, as frustrating as it is, there will always be those people, so I can sympathize with you on that. I can't remember what movie it was but it was a few years ago, and there were a couple of jackasses shouting "DONT TURN AROUND" "DONT GO IN THERE" or the ever popular "RUN BITCH!" Kinda annoying, but heh, kinda funny too.
There is another side to the coin though. Sometimes I feel like a movie is just so awful that someone needs to heckle it. I've been guilty of this, um a few times. I know its disrespectful and might aggrevate others, but sometimes you just can't help these things ya know.
here's an example, not me but some other dude in the theater towards the end of "vanilla sky" yelled at the top of his lungs "I'd rather be dying of bowel cancer than be watching this movie right now." Myself, and most other people started to laugh out loud. That was the only thing enjoyable about the night for me, since I felt the same way, oh yeah and the cheese fries at the diner later were sick.
Also, one night when a few friends and I went to see AI, towards the end of that, we just couldnt help it anymore...and everything became funny to us about the plot and the acting. I can't remember what sparked it, but I know that we all started to laugh and yell things. It was contagious too, once we started, a lot of other people actually came and sat by us to join in on fun.

There are 2 good movie theatres in this Goddamned town, and one is going to hell in a handbasket from an overcrowding problem, and the other one was built in.... how do I say this without putting it in racial terms... a "Bad" part of town. I go there, and even though its a nice theatre, I somehow always end up next to the people smoking weed
um, what?
i didnt say yell at the pplSushi2 wrote:
Oh and fyrtenheimer, I don't know about Cruel Angel......but I dont think I would want to start shouting at half the audience never mind starting a fight with them. You would :
a) get the shit beaten out of you
b) have popcorn and good knows what else thrown at you
c) people just harass you for the rest of the night
d) people will tell you to shut up
e) people will just laugh and talk even louder.

I have to agree, I go to the shows when they start at like 9 or 10 AM on the weekend. It's always the nice people who stay quite during the movie because the rowdy ones don't wake up until 5 or 6 PM on the weekends.paizuri wrote:Just go to the earliest matinee showings during the weekdays. Now if its a comedy or something I'll go when there's more people, but like when I went to see Minority Report I didn't want a bunch of retards talking during the movie so I just went to the first showing Saturday morning after it came out.
