Okay, here's my dilemma (sp?): I'm just starting in the AMV biz (if you wanna call it as such), except my anime comes in the form of video games.

Here's the problem itself: I'm not too fond of the footage being monstrously huge for no reason (with standard compression; seriously, 5GB for 3 minutes?!). I changed the compression to the Xvid... thing, which turned the 5GB into about 70MB. Thing was, Windows Movie Maker, for whatever reason, then couldn't read the file (something about an unsupported format from what I could tell). So, I went back and resaved the file with a different compression. The footage was recognized this time, but the file size is still needlessly massive (about 2GB this time).
So what do I need? Simple: how can I compress the file size down to something more managable and have Windows Movie Maker work with it? Any and all help will be greatly appreciated.
