How to add AMV Con info to AMV Listing?

While I understand why that should theoretically protect us from all the stupid repeat entries out there, it's still kinda... Dumb. What if the contest coordinator never gets around to putting it in?

Or what if the contest coordinator doesn't even visit this site in the first place and/or doesn't know about the contest calendar?

(I've been saying this ever since the new system was implemented.)

Well then someone follows the suggestion that i think godix gave and adds the contest themselves to prevent anyone form entering their videos.

Of course, this only works if the person who adds the contest is willing (and able -- what if the coordinator never releases the list?) to find out what videos were actually submitted and strike the ones that weren't.

Reread what i wrote there... the intent would be to prevent anyone from being able to list anything.

Reread what i wrote there... the intent would be to prevent anyone from being able to list anything.

Then what's the point of adding it to the calendar in the first place if no one can list it for con participation? Just to let everyone know that it exists and when the deadline is?
