Actually, for the purposes of this site, that's pretty much all that matters . . .

Ok well, I guess that makes it equal. I still don't think Final Fantasy or Kingdom Hearts should really be considered animes. But I guess Warcraft doesn't belong on this site.

Ok For Starters. Kingdom Hearts was made By Square Enix...A game from off shores and that goes for Final Fantasy. Both Games However and this includes any game developer from Off Shore as an anime influenced work. If it's Developed from Japan, then they make an expception of it as anime. Like Xenosaga for example.

WoW = http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0433664/fullcredits
This is full list of the whole staff behind world of Warcrack good sir, I suggest you read it and compare the names of the people of this link. Try looking at the Art Department of that as well. Not the Cinematics works since they only followed the ARt concept boared.

Kingdom Hearts = http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0390163/fullcredits
This is the link to the whole kingdom hearts Staff, scroll down and look find names that rhyme with Anderson or American Mcgee.

games are clearly at the same level as being called an anime as Warcraft is.
Again Games offshore, Grand theft Auto and Spinter cell don't count in those categories for example them selves. And since it's been a very long time since I read the rules on the org but I believe it stated that No kind of video game footage with you controling your character and recording your game play is allowed here.

The term amv is used loosely a lot especially with games, even though it stands for "Anime" Music Video. Regardless I think amv could also stand for Animation Music Video, which would cover both anime, games and any other form of moving picture.
It could vary from that but ANIMEmusicvideos.org isn't gonna change it's whole purpose just so we can have million Sponge Bob Videos with Linkin Park. We got enough DBZ/Naruto to slap around as is.

So I'm asking if Warcraft 3 and World Warcraft can be confirmed, so others like me can upload their videos of those games even though some people already uploaded their Warcraft videos before it was changed to non-anime.
I don't speak for the heads for the site but I'm sure as hell that they wouldn't even consider this an option. All World of Warcrack has to offer is their 5 cutscenes and thats just about it. If this were to put to motion then all The POWOWS (Acronym for Prisoners of World of Warcrack). Would only abuse it by showing how you found a bug in Orgimmar or your whole raid to the Black Temple featuring commentary Team Speak static noise of a 11 year old child demanding to get the Epic sword he so desires. All this and more recorded by a crappy Fraps screen game recording program.

Some People actually did try to make music videos out of these, but I can asure you this is not what the org wants and don't play the, "well theres a live band playing in the city of Shatar and even a music video was made with it to advertise the upcoming patch." That maybe but never was your creation from the Start.

So since I felt I typed too much I'm just gonna finish it with this. The Cutscenes MIGHT be acceptible but the Gameplay isn't in short terms. There isn't much for an viewer to obtain from a person recording with fraps WITH THE WATERMARKED LOGO MIGHT I ADD! It just isn't weclome here.[/b]

Ok I've just been informed by a reliable source that I was a quater bit wrong. about the Game play footage and I quote.
gameplay footage of Japanese-related games that are recorded are allowed (i.e. Zelda games)
That means you can record ne thing from Resident Evil to Metal Gear Solid if you desired, just as long developers were japanese related.

Warcraft However ISN'T Japanese-related Nor Japanese Inspired thus why it isn't allowed.

I've also seen the acronym "AMV" stand for Amature Music Video... but since the title of this site isnt AmatureMusicVideos.extention when its in fact AnimeMusicVideos.org... that is not a good argument to help your case.

I have been meaning to ask this before (even though its a bit off-topic). But there are some video games series that were born in Japan but now a days are developed by Other countries, for example I know that th Metroid Saga was born in Japan and in the credits in the important names you see japanese names, but the desing and animation of the last games has been made by people from other countries (i.e Retro Studios in this case).

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0319854/fullcredits#cast

I have wanted to do a Meetroid Prime GMV but I don't know if it clasifies as anime here, since the original origins (lol) of the saga are japanese I thought it was alright, but now that I read the above I'm a little confused :| . Beside that its confirmed as anime as well here on the org, but I want to make sure.

overall the main point is WoW isn't welcomed here BUT you can upload your amv here.

http://www.warcraftmovies.com/

All you gotta do is add their banner on ur video and then u get the upload to their site with no charge or w/e.
