People should NOT put h264 in avi because its fucking stupid.
However, I don't see a need for a sticky clogging up space on the forums though. I don't watch a lot of videos, but I honestly haven't seen a single h.264-in-avi video around here. Also the guides (still in beta) only tell people how to put h264 in an mp4 container. I think if people don't read the guides, then they wont be reading a sticky either.

Oh I saw pretty much here. It happens when people just hear h.264 and make a google search or something. Than they find it for avi and think:Zarxrax wrote:, but I honestly haven't seen a single h.264-in-avi video around here.
"Hey! Why should I bother with an mp4?"
and that´s the story... But oh well let´s don´t make drama. It already stands in the guides and I think that more people look into the guides than in sticky threads like the forum rules. In the end... Zarx said it:

HA! I've actually been thinking of making a sig. I'll probably do that now, just no flashing .gifs. No need to cause seizuresBauzi wrote:Mhmm... Scintilla has always had a cool sig with a wonderful flashy .gifs saying:

You could try the same thing.

I downloaded this video months ago but haven't got around to watching it (so it's clogging up my Pending Stars list) partly because it is H.264 in AVI: http://www.animemusicvideos.org/members ... _id=141135Zarxrax wrote:I don't watch a lot of videos, but I honestly haven't seen a single h.264-in-avi video around here.
