Pirate anime?

Post by sasuke2468 » Wed Jul 11, 2007 1:56 am

1. this has nothing to do with pirates of the carribean
2. unless there's times in one piece where they actually pillage in any way this won't reallywork haha

So at anime expo this year there where these guyz that came dressed like pirates with their guitars and such and played some seriously oldschool styled music, sounded like something a real pirate would have sang. one song tho, called Castrate the governor, I found to be funny as hell. My mother board'll be repaired hopefully by the end of the week and I was hoping to get back into the amv scene with a comedy, since its been a long time.... a really long time... So I wanted to know if you guys could help me find either a good pirate anime or one (or more) that would fit nicely :) please nothing that requires me to buy a million dvds cuz I don't have much money at all :/ but my birthday's in well technically today but w/e XD I'll be getting gift cards from the family so try to make it... try to keep it under 100 bux >.> i should get a paycheck soon anywayz hahaha

Lyrics might help yes? the opening's more of him speaking, like telling a story, then he breaks into song...

So it would seem that in one of our pleasure trips to cat island, we found ourselves encounterin the governor, at the time what wasn't too fond of the likes of us
it was somewhere between cat tavern and the kittens den, things tend to be a bit hazy at best between those points... that he came upon us.
judgment in his eyes and a scad too much powder upon his wig (tragic mace pattern baldness in the family you see) not to be waylaid from getting waylaid we had no choice but to "fux" (if you will) the problem at once
and with the dagger from his own boot no less, and so he never messed wit hour crew again, much revelry ensued. And now the governor's own dagger rests in teh boot of the red pirate cassidy

Castrate the governor then run off with his daughter
Load the rum and connonade
and sail for open water
kick down teh doors, and grab teh grog and steal the cobblers boots,
we've drunk the rum and had their women, and made off with their loot

Castrtate the governor then run off with his daughter
load the rum and cannonade then sail for open water

grab a wench, a doctor and the local perish priest
fer u know what ta make us well, fer hon'rin' tae deceased
rope and soap and bread adn butter
(and rum and rum and rum and rum and rum)
water chees and rum, powder kegs
(and rum and rum and rum and rum)
and mustache wax and lots and lots and lots of rum!
(and rum! and rum! and rum!)

The song itself is alot more amusing then just reading it i found as i typed this out... hahaha

well if any1's got ideas it'd be much appreaciated <33

Well, the other pirates in One Piece do a lot of fighting. In the first ep, Arvida's crew attacks a luxury ship.

Baggy's crew has invaded a town in the arc after Luffy meets Zoro (where they meet Nami).

In the Black Cat arc (where they meet Usopp), the cat pirates try to attack the village (plus they wear cat ears, if that helps) and get in a big fight with Usopp, Luffy and the rest.

In the arc where our gang meets Sanji on the floating restaurant, the pirate group that attacks also get attacked so there's a lot of wreckage afloat.

The arc with Arlong's crew on Nami's home island is pretty intense. You should find appropriate scenes in any of the One Piece arcs, except the problem is finding them amongst all the other scenes :?

Oh, and was that the group that performed at the end of the masquerade? If so, then, yes, they were awesome!
"Didn't I say something clever earlier?"
"Dunno, I was probably asleep when you said it."

You know, this anime is a bit more contemporary, but you might want to look at Black Lagoon. It's not the traditional pirate story, but there's plenty of pillaging to go around.
