Same here, now it's almost habit for me to just have three projects going at the same time, and just switch between them as needed.

I wait for some days and listen to music. Most time to the music of my video... best thing is to do other things, like drawing or play basketball. Dont think about the amv. That is what i do.

this never works for me.... i push myself to finish a project before allowing myself to start another... it makes me finish what i was working on... if i start another project usually i will loose interest in the first..

of course thats because mep pieces dont count (they dont in my mind at the least)... cause with mep pieces i currently have 3 projects "running"..

i find that when i have "editors block" its the same as kionon for me, its because im procrastinating or i dont really WANT to work on it... i can always work on it if i make myself do it

-_-;;

I started workin on a drama vid for masters...I got maybe 10 seconds in and was not at all liking what was happening...and the simple fact that I was not liking it de-motivated me to keep working on it.

So I decided to do a silly fun vid for the contest instead...which actually has been a lot more work, but since I don't take it as seriously, I've been really enjoying where I'm going with it.

Simply: don't overthink it. Has been a downfall of mine for awhile.

If you're not feeling it, don't do it. The only time I edit now is when I feel so excited about it that my hair is standing on end and I can't keep from shivering. I leave all the slogging through hours of 'fake-it-till-you-make-it' bullshit to work.

While there is a LOT to be said for just creating everyday no matter what, and trimming down the best bits later, it doesn't always work that way. For sensitive artist types, doing something that you know is awful, and CONTINUING to do it, can kill your spirit and creative drive. If you're an author and have been writting half a books worth of bullshit you're not proud of, the chances of THE SPARK happening are less and less and less, especially as you get more and more discouraged.
I should note, I don't get Writer's Block ever. It always smacked of an excuse to me.
ROFL, and wtf have you created, Schubert?

If you do it constantly, it can get easier, but creativity is not something you can force. When you don't feel it, I agree with Beo, don't do it...switch to something else for awhile. Or go out and do stuff...I get good ideas when I'm out running.

Did you even bother to look at her profile and see just how long she's been doing this?

That has little to do with it. There are people who've been around longer who've accomplished less, and people who've only been around for a short while who've accomplished much more. You can't really measure it like that.

And do you measure accomplishment by number of videos?
Kusoyaro: We don't need a leader. We need to SHUT UP. Make what you want to make, don't make you what you don't want to make. If neither of those applies to you, then you need to SHUT UP MORE.
