NO it doesn't count, because nobody has ever heard of this show or knew that there is an anime version. We didn't have a proper category to fit it in. He should have used the ANIME source and not the LIVE-ACTION if we were meant to judge it appropriately. Remember, vitually all of the judges are "anime illiterate", people from completely different backgrounds meant to critique your videos in and of themselves, nothing more.

At the very least ScoobINSMDBZ should have mentioned upon submission that his source was based on an anime series.

But you know, this might be a good idea to pass on and see if we can make a category for videos which use live action shows based on anime like:

Boogiepop and Others
Sailor Moon TV Series (live action)
Your Under Arrest TV Series (live action)
Cutie Honey (live action movie)
Sakigake!! Cromartie Koukou (live-action movie)\
etc.

What do you all think? If we do, will anyone submit a video?

It was no problem at all. In fact, we really like the video. It's exactly the kind of thing we want to see...we just didn't expect to get a music video submission with only live action footage.

Well done vid, and thanks for sending it in. Because of you, I am going to modify the categories next year so that this kind of material has a place in our events.
