Note about "Good Old Days": Masking is an effect. Color effects/gradients are effects. Overlays are effects.
If it is not either a hard cut, fade or speed adjustment it is an effect that is against the rules for that particular theme.
I've been getting a looooot of private messages about that one so I just wanted to clarify

I feel like it should only be hard cuts only

Are only back or white fades allowed, or also cross-fades? Sorry if it's already been asked xD Hardcuts ftw, though haha.

Re: Round 1 - Themes Up!
Well, I thought back to when I first started editing. Some people tend to go hard cuts only while others (such as myself) went fade crazy. So the decision was more based off what I remember back in the day more than anything else And the addition of speed adjustments wasn't originally there but I figured it'd be easier to let that slide as opposed to forcing people to cut their footage frame by frame xDlloyd9988 wrote:I feel like it should only be hard cuts only
I'll accept black, white and cross. But anything else such as color bleeds, dissolves, thresholds, or blurs are outAnicsi wrote:Are only back or white fades allowed, or also cross-fades? Sorry if it's already been asked xD Hardcuts ftw, though haha.

Can I still edit for this? I've been meaning to try a no-effects video.....
