btw, for those of you who dont know....i was NOT at Ushicon, little hard for me to get to Austin from Canada with no money ^_^

Ok, I decided to start driving at around midnight on Thursday night, and I had been up since about 6 thursday morning. Hey, but I couldnt sleep, so what better thing could I do than drive to an anime convention? 7 hours later, I made it from OKC to the hotel in Austin. After talking with JBone for a bit, I checked in, and as my roomate hadn't made it there yet, I went to sleep till around 3, when I got up and met la familia down in the lobby. We hung out and then went to eat, forsaking Big Dave, who was still on his way down to Austin. I was forced to drive my car, because Mandy kept stalling it out... (We hadnt let it warm up) even though I was quite ummm... errr... eto... nevermind.... lets just say I wasn't drunk, but I was quite incapacitated (Smoking cigarettes... yeah! thats the ticket!). After we got to the restaurant, we got split up into two groups, which we then dubbed La Familia A Team, and La Familia B Team. After some wonderful drama involving Away messages, Divorce Papers, Restraining Orders, and Subpeonas, between the two, we filmed some secret footage when we got back to the hotel. You'll all have to wait for the Doc to find out what it is. After that whole deal, I decided to go to bed, seeing as it was about midnight. The next day, We had an amv creators lunch, and the group got split up into THE EXACT SAME groups again, and Carlos proceeded to shit himself in a righteous fury, while I just said fuck it, and ordered a margarita. Meanwhile, Mandy was downing her own drinks, and even though she only had two, she was tipsy on the way back. When we get back to the hotel, Carlos dissapears faster than Crown Royal, and he leaves me, Hitori, and Mandy just sitting there at the bar... I buy a drink for Mandy and Hitori, and one for myself, which turns into 4-5 for each of us... by the time Carlos shows back up, all three of us are roughly three sheets to the wind, and he proceeds to get pissed at me, but who am I to deny a pretty girl her booze? J/K Carlos. We sit around until the time for the AMV showcase and the "Disorderly Behavior" Carlos "Demoted" me for in the other thread was only me making comments at videos with cartoon network logos in the corner, and cheering at good vids... (BTW Carlos, I thought you actually had to be A team to demote me

). After that, I looked for the group, but they had gone over to the Milo's place, and I ended up wandering around, drinking Gin, going to parties, and just crashing, and then bidding everyone adieu the next day. Overall, it was a good con with good friends, so I give it a thumbs up.

Way too much to write, but Ushicon rocked. Well let me rephrase that. The con was small and I didn't really do much other than the dealer's room and AMV-related stuff (Panel and Expo), but hanging out with MJ, Machine, Wonka, Beowulf, JBone, Hitori, XAbaddon, EK, Fluxy, Admiante and Wilson was awesome. Good times indeed!

Got drunk in 1118 Friday night, dodged someone's puke to get back to my room, bought stuff, met people, had a damn good time. Too bad about Columbia.

Ushicon Iron Chef 4 Lyfe!!! :O

This year's Ushi was great! Bigger place, more AMV makers coming down, nicer panel rooms, more video rooms, better Lan and video game setups...good times. 8) Both the beginner and advanced AMV panels went nicely, the AMV summitt was cool and the showcase crowd was very receptive. Danny Wilson and Hitori absolutely owned the crowd but they turned on me once I made everyone cry. The 8 way Ushicon Iron Chef we had on Sunday was some of the best times I've ever had at a con. Me, Carlos, Fluxy, Big Dave, Adiamante, Hitori, Beowulf and Wonka stressed ourselves out trying to outdo each other in 1 1/2 hours and came up with some nice results (except me because I suck :p ). We filmed alot of it, so hopefully we'll have something to share very soon...good times indeed.

I remember a lot of drinking and stuff... Parking was teh suxxors.. Well, if you parked in the hotel parking.... -_-
I brought 300 dollars to spend and had about 40 dollars left for gas money for the trip home.... Most went to parking, gas and food...

I finally got to meet a lot of people!! I mean man.. They also got to meet me as well! It was a total blast. It was fun doing stuff with all the people who were there. 8)

Iron Chef was cool.. My video was = teh suxxor... I like to plan my videos out.. Not go at it and just do something... -_-

I finally was able to work with one of my least fav anime: jin-roh.

Ushicon was a blast, the panel was fun. I liked the small mostly unpacked atmosphere. (no battling at the bar to find a seat when mj tried to liqour me up)

(not exactly AT the con... but close enough)
I'd say the best was doing iron chef. Although my video ended up with a bit of a gimmick... I think without the gimmicky stuff it wasn't half bad. I went with a basic idea for the editing and timing... then just threw stuff at the timeline (nothing new to me

). I say throwing, but maybe it really isn't as mindless as I convey...

MJs video would have skooled Beo's if only the subs of the mystical third language in the macross video weren't HARD coded.

It was great to see everyone again, and meet some new people too(dwchang, hitori, all of bcp, blunty, others... ). MAD props to the Milo host family. PUT YOUR BEST FOOT FORWARD
