MORE restaurants to choose from! The Carrabba's restaurant has been a great hang out because for a very long time there were no other restaurants in the area that could handle our masses. I have spoken to management there and thanked them again for their wonderful service over the years! Protocol will the same as always. Meet at the "ice" sculpture in the lobby of the Renaissance Waiverly between 8 and 8:30pm on Thursday Sept 20th. We will leave for the restaurant at 8:45 so that we can begin the feast of a-thousand editors promptly at 9pm that night.
1.) Please do NOT cosplay...... i think this only applied to one person last year. Costumes are bulky and can disrupt the flow of traffic not only going to and coming from the dinner, but the waiting staff gets frightened easily.
2.) TIP!!!
3.) Usually there is registration there that evening, but please drop all non dinner essential item in you rooms before departing.
4.) Anyone over 21 must buy me a drink. Anyone UNDER 21 must give me money for a drink
and
5.) Please remember: Don't feed the Shoutas
One change to this years dinner however may be the location. With many restaurants closer, Carrabba's may prove out of the way. Unless you an AWA dinner purist. I have already spoken to The Cheesecake Factory, which is about half as far from con as Carrabba's was. Plus it is larger and with the way the group has been growing these past few years I am not sure if Carrabba's will be able to handle our counts in the coming years. But it will be slightly more expensive. Not by much, but every little bit does count. I leave the vote up to you guys. Will we dine as we always have, pastacarrabba and Appletinnis? Or shall we try something new (Cheesecake Factory)?
