I'm still waiting, and I registered through snail mail back in December. My friend was telling me I should have just waited for the web-reg, since he has his confirmation. (The only proof of payment I have is my bank statement, not a carbon copy check that I wish I had now.)Anyone who snail mailed in by June 1 get their registration confirmation yet?
As of now, I don't have mine yet. Confused
They really need to get their act together. Just saying "after June 16" (though their forums said "by June 15")doesn't really do much considering how many people have been stressing out about confirmation for so many months and the fear that they might have to register all over again and pay the full $50.

never preregister for anime expo. it took my years to learn that- but this year i finally decided enough was enough and did on-site.
and just like every year since 2002, the on site registration took a fraction of the time. my buddy preregistered and we entered the line up area at the same time. i was in line 20 minutes tops, he waited 4 hours.
its always like that so remember this next year.

But you have to take into consideration that some people don't want to fork out as much money, so prereging is useful. Also, I have found that if you know the right time to come you can only be waiting for an period of around 2 hours.

I'll admit that registration wasn't as bad as last year. As for waiting time, my friend who registered at con didn't have be in line longer than I was, I was done about 5 minutes before he did (and we waited in line together till we got to upstaris where the registration area) and overall, we were in line for less than 4 hours.
Of course my friends and I went on Thursday, so I really can't compare it to if we tried registering during the con. But I heard that they outsourced registration this year, so I guess that might have helped in speeding up lines.

Re: Anime Conventions
You can either pre-register through their website (via credit card payment or mailing them a check), or register at the convention. Pre-regging is cheaper (and even then, the earlier the better), and the line to pick up a badge is usually shorter than the line to pay.shinrin_kitsune wrote:Okay how do you register to go to a Anime Convention?
