Anyway, so far, con has been fun. It seems liek I am the only big AMV enthusiast there other than casual viewers, but that's not to say others won't come eventually. It's still early, and I hear some peopel aren't coming until tomorrow. But yeah, I think so far, I am the only one walking around with an AMV badge (I printed one out from the site main page hehe!

Gaming room is already in full effect. THere's a seperate music gaming room from the console gaming room. Music gaming has 3 DDR setups with Red Octane hard pads, plus a donkey conga setup, and a Karaoke Revolution setup. (No beatmania iidx! I cry!) Console gaming room has many many MANY Gamcubes, XBox's, and PS2's with lots of games. From memory, I saw Smash Bros. Meelee, Mario Kart double dash, Naruto ver. 3, One Piece, Soul Claiber 2, Halo, Halo 2, Gran Turismo 4, SNK vs. Capcom 2, and others I can't remember...
AMV room is open, running old AMVs, and soon after, more recent stuff. I peeked in and saw a nifty looking vid done to Akira with the song "Come out and Play". Didn't stick around long - wanted to socialize.
Dealers room wasn't open yet, but I was able to peek in there and look around (It helps to have friends on the staff

Artists alley was getting set up, soem promising stuff there.
The hotel itself is the giant Millenium Hotel downtown, right by the arch. It's huge. No really, huge. Anyway, the facilities are nice, 3 floors, restaraunts, a bar, and the bottom floor with the convention area. Parking garage across the street.. parking's a bit expensive, but not too bad.
All in all, it looks like it'll be an OK con for a first year event, and I hope it goes on for many years to come.
Of course, I'll have a full con report, with photos, after it's over.
