Anime Boston

Post by EmoDeedles » Tue Jan 18, 2005 4:44 pm

alright, all hands up. Whos going to Anime Boston?! I have never been to an Anime Convention before and so I am uber excited. I have already payed for my ticket and now all I have to pay for is the stay at the hotel its at for 3 nights. Lets just say I will be working overtime for the next lifetime. Its in the last few days of April in May, I beleive. I am taking the Japanese Culture club that I co-created with my friend there and well we are all going to dress up. Its hard to find anime characters with red hair though, any suggestions? Anyways, hope to see some of you there!

btw, yes this is my first post and its great to meet you all. *small bow*

Kenshin, Tasuki, that guy from YYH,...?

Edit: I won't be in attendance, because the con is the weekend before my finals, and I know it wouldn't be a good idea to be out the entire weekend before my finals.

Edit - Con dates are April 29th through May 1st, Thursday night badge pickup on April 28th.

Despite the fact that I'm in the center of anime fandom, I still plan on being in Boston, only 10 days after I get back to the US. I think my room will have 3 others, unlike last year where I brought the anime club I started at my school with me (which meant... 13 people total including me).

Will *probably* be co-hosting the AMV Panel again, although I'm not sure if Ashyukun will be back to take the co-host position. Of course, that's moot until they find a Panel Programming Coordinator and start accepting applications. I also may be assisting in a Japanese Writing workshop, but that's up in the air right now.

And of course I'm entering the AMV Contest, assuming that my laptop gets repaired and shipped back to me post-haste...

I'm in Boston and this is my first anime con. I can't wait to meet all of you. Hopefully I can even finish my AMV in time to submit it.

I'm hoping to go... if I bring my grades up for the next progress report. -_-; I sent in an AMV to the contest, though. Here's hoping it's at least shown. ^_^

For the 3rd year i shall attend as well. I'm putting the last bit of work into my vid (40+ hours at this point) Taijitsu For Dummies and i'm hoping it gets into the finals. I'm also hoping the hotel is less dry and hot than the Park Plaza because being in a costume made entirely out of spandex-like material is not going to be comfortable
