AMV Dinner @ AWA 2004

This event is in no way associated with AWA, the AWA Video Art Track, or any AWA staff.

Who: All AMV creators, VAT staff, VAT guests, and non-editing members of the AMV community who have contributed to the cause attending AWA. You are also welcomed to bring a single guest with you but I ask that you limit your guest to only significant others or a friend who came to AWA with you and would otherwise be left alone Thursday night.

What: This year we are doing a pizza party in a private room at the Cobb Galleria. There will be a pizza buffet as well as an LCD projector and sound system setup which will be playing AMVs all night. There will be a $39 fee per person to cover the cost of the room, food, and A/V equipment. You must register by September 10 in order to attend.

When: Thursday, September 23 @ 8:00 PM. We will meet in the lobby of the Renaissance Waverly Hotel at 7:45 PM and head over to the dinner or you can join us later. The event will last until midnight.

Where: The dinner will be held in the Cobb Galleria (the convention center connected to the con hotel). Room information will be released at a later date.

Why: The past two dinners were are restaurants. This had the benefit of individual checks and a slightly cheaper dinner but with the restaurant choices near AWA the socializing was greatly diminished (last year everyone was stuck in 4 person booths without much freedom to wonder the room). This year's dinner is a little more expensive but gets us a large, private room perfect for a social event which will last all night instead of a couple of hours.
