(giggles) You're digging your own grave here buddy. That's a good question, when aren't you? I'm sure Katsucon would be very disappointed to hear that people who are supposed to be throwing a panel and showing people how to make AMVs are drunk. I don't drink when I'm editing. Maybe you do, but that's your own buisness.VicBond007 wrote:When aren't we drunk?!![]()
I'll be surprised if anyone shows up.

Not as disappointed as they'll be to learn the panel attendees are all drunk.Fungie½ wrote:I'm sure Katsucon would be very disappointed to hear that people who are supposed to be throwing a panel and showing people how to make AMVs are drunk.

You can read the future? Please do tell me, when will I become as 1337 as the Katsucon panelists? I'm dying to know.jbone wrote:Not as disappointed as they'll be to learn the panel attendees are all drunk.Fungie½ wrote:I'm sure Katsucon would be very disappointed to hear that people who are supposed to be throwing a panel and showing people how to make AMVs are drunk.
Why not place a bottle of vodka there instead? I'm not going to waste my time learning those "leet editing skills" from a bunch of drunken fools. I'll be at the cosplay contest. At least they're not rewarded for being drunk on stage.jbone wrote:We'll save you a chair.Fungie½ wrote:I'll be surprised if anyone shows up.

I dunno, some of those cosplayers might as well be drunk on stage.Fungie½ wrote: Why not place a bottle of vodka there instead? hmm, I think I have the opposite feelings here. I'm curious as to what you expect from panels. I mean, at the panels I've been to, I've heard a lot of cliche advice like "Edit with your heart," and in other cases, lots of technical things that went over my head. I can understand going to learn in regards to tech advice. I might not get that stuff, but I'm sure lots of others do regardless.Fungie½ wrote:You can read the future? Either way from my experiences, I've loved the drunken panels. I feel like the panels where people try and teach you *their* editing techniques, usually aren't fun, and too preachy for me. If we're all just drunk together and talking about general AMV stuff, that works for me. I'd rather be in an environment where we you can sit around and bullshit as equals, as opposed to hearing what is the right way to edit from some person taking their craft too seriously.

You do know that some editors prefer editing while drunk right? Besides, artistic creation tends to be inspired by a different view of the world, which is facilliated by mentally affecting chemical substances. Many famous artists were very well known for having mental imbalances or drug usage patterns. Not that I would ever condone drug use or anything long those lones, but it's just something to consider.Fungie½ wrote:Why not place a bottle of vodka there instead?
